The Problem
A market full of treasure, and no map
Nobody can say how big the European market for vintage and second-hand jewellery really is, and that is the first proof of how fragmented and opaque it remains. It is hard to navigate, for sellers and buyers alike. Professional jewellers have no digital tools worthy of the name. Buyers do not know who to trust. And extraordinary pieces stay in drawers instead of finding someone who will truly appreciate them.
Our Answer
The platform this market never had
Antiqa is a vertical platform for vintage and antique jewellery, built for professionals. We do not accept private sellers: everyone who sells is a VAT-registered professional, admitted after their application has been reviewed.
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live: we check that the photographs show the actual piece and that the details are complete. Sellers work with a tool built around their trade, not a generic form. Buyers find listings that are consistent, comparable and documented.
The authenticity of each piece is declared and signed by the seller, who is solely answerable for it, with provenance documentation to support it. Antiqa collects that declaration, reads every application and mediates disputes.

Antiqa reads every listing
No listing goes online without a review. Anyone without a VAT number does not publish.
The buyer buys, or makes an offer
They can buy straight away or make the seller an offer. The payment is held and reaches the seller fifteen days after delivery, if you have not opened a claim or asked for a return.
A vision, and a market still to build
Antiqa was born where a passion for period jewellery met experience in digital marketplaces. We saw first-hand how hard it was for a professional jeweller to sell online with the right tools, and how frustrating it was for a buyer to find genuine pieces without having to trust blindly.
We started in Italy not because it is our limit, but because it is the best place to start: the Italian goldsmithing tradition is recognised the world over. Every piece that passes through Antiqa carries centuries of gemmological culture with it. Our vision is to build the reference marketplace for period jewellery in Europe and beyond.

Whoever sells is a professional with a VAT number, admitted after their application was reviewed, and is personally answerable for what they declare about their own pieces.
Payment held until delivery
The payment is held and reaches the seller fifteen days after delivery, if you have not opened a claim or asked for a return. If there is a dispute, Antiqa mediates between the parties.

We start from Italian goldsmithing. The catalogue can be browsed from anywhere in Europe; we are building the seller network and the shipping to serve it.
