Description
Refined ring in 18k yellow gold, featuring a cameo depicting a classical female figure, probably a deity or allegorical personification in the neoclassical iconographic tradition. The cameo, set in a worked gold frame, recalls the great period of Italian jewellery-making in the twentieth century, when this type of artisan work enjoyed renewed prestige among educated classes. The weight of 6.50 grams attests to the solidity and generosity of the manufacture. Condition is excellent, with gilding and carving well preserved.
